Training and continual development is the foundation of employment with Runwood Homes. We want our residents to receive the best possible care, so need a well skilled, knowledgeable team to deliver this. Our aim is also to ensure our people have job satisfaction and the opportunity to develop skills that will enable career development.
We take a blended approach to our training delivery, offering e-learning, face to face training and coaching sessions. We understand that people learn in different ways and our skilled learning and development team are able to deliver this. Our development programme will enable you to move ‘up the ladder’ and progress your career with Runwood Homes. We offer QCF’s for all job roles from level 2 up to level 7 manager and the advanced e-learning and leadership courses will support your development and prepare you for the next steps. There is no limit to how high you can go, and currently, two members of the board of directors started their careers working as Care Assistants.
We implement regular supervision and appraisal, and continued support is in place for all employees, to ensure they feel supported and that good care practises are being delivered. Many of our residents are living with dementia and require close personal attention. We refer to this as ‘Person Centred Care’ and have a skilled and dedicated dementia services team who will support staff with dementia training, from introductory to advanced levels.
