Job Overview

We are looking for a confident and friendly Gardener to join our team to cover our homes across the Doncaster region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and general appearance of the gardens and grounds for six care homes, this includes the lawns, hedges and flower beds. You will be provided with a company van and all equipment required to perform the role.
Successful applicants are required to undertake an enhanced disclosure check. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults.

Key responsibilities

Gardens – to ensure general maintenance of grounds, cut lawns, and maintain flower beds, hedges, sweeping leaves, pruning, upkeep of greenhouses and summer fruit picking.
General Tool Maintenance – to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance on all gardening tools.
Maintaining work & Activities schedules
Maintaining sheds, equipment and tools.
Propagation management
Plant health management
Provide assistance in Gardens across other sites if/when necessary

All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
