Wellbeing & Dementia Services Manager (Northern Ireland)

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our Wellbeing & Dementia Services Team.  You will be joining a well-established, innovative and dynamic team.  Your role will be to support managers, staff and families to maintain and develop the highest levels of wellbeing for residents in our Northern Ireland homes.  We believe people living with dementia can live well with the right support – you will oversee and develop this support. 

Included in your responsibilities:

  • Delivering dementia and wellbeing related training packages
  • Coaching and mentoring staff, including working alongside them
  • Leading on the provision of high quality, meaningful activity for all residents
  • Ensuring dignity for all, in part through our ongoing dignity campaign
  • Promoting excellent interaction and engagement, especially for people with dementia  
  • Providing dementia advice and support to staff and families
  • Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
  • Networking with local groups and the community

So that you have the confidence and skills to deliver high quality support and direction to your homes, you will receive individual support, guidance and investment in your development.  We are known as a professional, open and friendly team.

Applicants must have a thorough practical knowledge of feelings-based dementia care.  You will have the ability to inspire, motivate and lead others.  You will have developed excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills.   You will also need be confident, determined, and flexible.
