Home Manager

We are seeking an experienced and established Home/Service Manager with the proven background in managing a large and complex service (138 beds) for a care home based in Colchester.

Loganberry Lodge is a 138 bed purpose built home situated in Colchester, Essex. This spacious home has excellent transport links to both the town and nearby amenities, and provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.

We strive to create a homely environment at Loganberry Lodge, and we provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with en-suite bathroom facilities and the home has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges and a sensory room in which residents can relax. In addition, we have a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.

You will be actively involved in all care aspects within the Home including managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring the quality of the service meets the care standards.

You must have strong leadership skills and decision-making responsibilities on a day to day basis.

You will be overseeing a 138 bed residential care home and must have previous experience of managing a home of this size.

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

Minimum NVQ 4/5, Registered Manager’s Award or similar
Minimum of 7 years experience in a large service or management of multiple services
Staff management experience of no less than 100 staff across various departments
Sustained Good CQC in an independent care home facility for a minimum of 2 reports
Clinical understanding and credibility with a detailed & conversant knowledge of the care standards and provision of truly person centre care
Proven track record in delivering high quality care
Budget management and business acumen
Private funding experience
