DEMENTIA SERVICES MANAGER (Essex  -  Head Office region) - RUNWOOD HOMES VACANCIES – 18.2.19

Salary - £32,000         Closing Date – 27th March 2019

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our Wellbeing & Dementia Services Team.  You will be joining a well-established, innovative and dynamic team.  Your role will be to support managers, staff and families to maintain and develop the highest quality of life for residents in our homes, especially for people living with dementia.  Included in your responsibilities:

• Delivering dementia and wellbeing related training packages
• Coaching and mentoring staff, including working alongside them
• Leading on the provision of high quality inclusive activity for all residents
• Ensuring dignity for all, in part through our ongoing dignity campaign
• Promoting excellent interaction and communication, especially for people living with dementia
• Providing dementia advice and support to staff and families
• Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day

So that you have the confidence and skills to deliver high quality support and direction to your homes, you will receive individual support, guidance and investment in your development.  We are known as an open and welcoming team.

Applicants must have a sound practical knowledge of feelings-based dementia care, have the ability to coach and lead others, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.   You will also need be determined, and flexible.   You must be able to travel across Essex as this position will mean visiting various homes.  For more details of these homes locations please see https://www.runwoodhomes.co.uk/
