We are looking for Registered Nurses to come and join our new team of committed professionals at our brand-new care home, Chelmunds Court residential and nursing home.

This new care home will provide 73 bed spaces, in a combination of residential and nursing beds. Apart from a small number of beds which will be reserved for self-funders, the vast majority of bed spaces will be allocated to Solihull Council under a block contract for the first 10 years of operation. The council have indicated that their commissioning priority will be dementia care and the care home has been designed with this in mind.

Job Overview:

Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of person centred care are being delivered at all times by undertaking accurate assessment and planning of care, delivery and ongoing evaluation of the care plans. Observing and carrying out appropriate hand-overs to ensure the detail and accuracy of service user information being provided
Carrying out nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
Providing support and guidance to all staff, providing demonstrations and instructions of care activities, particularly in relation to the induction and mentoring of new staff.
Liaising with health and social care professionals involved in the wellbeing of individual residents and family members to maintain a holistic approach to their care

Experience / Qualification:

Valid NMC PIN
DBS enhanced disclosure check
Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a Care Home with Vulnerable Adults or similar setting
Working to the standards set by the Regulators and by external bodies
